Being Present in the Moment

Living in the moment. What is all the hype about? What about the fact that we are expected to be happy all the time, everywhere. If we arent,we are spoken to as if there is something wrong with us. Why have we becme so focused as a society of being happy? Why have we made ourselves outliers? rather than individuals?

The majority of us are still working on this, including me. It is a topic of utmost importance. So why is this important? It teaches us to understand that each moment is eternity, and that each moment is all that we have. Past and future no longer exist as they are. They are non-existent, except in the minds of individuals. How trapped do you feel now? The past is a lie and so is the future. Because the only place you could really be is in the here and the now. The past was a previous moment which we had and the future has not yet arrived. We can no longer be with either of them., so we must let go of them both.

What hinders you from being present in the moment? Have you taken a moment to ask yourself? You are an intelligent being. You have the answers to your own questions.

Are you storing unnecessary emotion? Are you overworking yourself? Are you overindulging in harmful activities?

As we build up a toxic nature internally, through negative thoughts, bad eating habits, lack of exercising the body, attaching to the senses, this causes a deep sense of unhappiness within. Just as we have built, we must work to release and let go. We must cleanse our bodies and our minds regularly, to prevent the build-up of these toxins. Make time each week, each month, every 3 months to clear up your toxic nature, reflect on your being, remove the waste and move forward with clarity. This is how to build a strong mind. This is how to learn to be present in the moment.

Nature, cleanses itself all the time. Nature takes time to absorb, process, assimilate, digest and eliminate. Just as the leaves fall from tress in the autumn and then re-grow in the spring. Or just as the digestive systems works, to digest nutrients and remove waste products. We must do the same for our minds.

We must work to harmonise our thoughts, to calm our minds and to create a garden of peace. For our body and mind is the only one place we have to live on this planet. Keep your space yours, keep it clean and keep it beautiful.
